Frequently asked questions
Can't find what you are looking for? Our support team is happy to help.
Who called me from this number?
Search the number at the top of any page. If people have reported it you will see what kind of call it was, what the caller said and a community safety rating. If nobody has reported it yet, you can be the first.
Do I need an account to report a number?
No. Anyone can post a report. A free account lets you watch numbers, get alerts, earn reputation and edit your profile.
How is the safety rating calculated?
Each report includes a rating from Dangerous to Safe. We combine them, give more weight to recent reports and to reports others marked helpful, and show the result as a rating and a 0-100 safety score.
Can scammers fake a phone number?
Yes. Caller ID spoofing is common, so a number with scam reports may belong to an innocent person or business. Never trust caller ID alone: hang up and call back on a number you know is genuine.
A report about my number is wrong. What can I do?
Businesses can claim their number for free to post an official response and get a verified badge. Anyone can flag a report that breaks the rules or send a removal request for personal information.
What does Premium include?
Premium removes all ads, lets you watch unlimited numbers and sends instant email alerts instead of a daily digest. It also supports the community.
Do you sell my information?
No. We store only what is needed to run the site, and your IP address is saved as a one-way fingerprint for spam protection.
What should I do if I already paid a scammer?
Contact your bank or card issuer immediately, change any passwords you shared, and report the fraud to your national consumer protection agency (in the U.S., the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov).
